.....Elephant walk, Bottany bay and Stalag 17 in one CD?.....

A fabulous and eclectic collection this time around! There's something there for everyone---and it's Waxman at Paramount. How can you miss?

I've been listening to SUSIE WONG and TOO LATE BLUES for awhile now---and they are wonderful. I hope everyone who's wanted to get these now has them.

Bruce is now "MISTER GOLDEN/SILVER AGE"!!!

(Too bad about some of the missing cues in this upcoming release. Were they lost in the massive fire and destruction at ELEPHANT WALK or accidentally sunk in BOTANY BAY? smile )

Elephant walk, Bottany bay and Stalag 17 in one CD?

Yes! All the surviving cues from each, with Botany Bay having the most cues survive, about forty glorious minutes. Stalag is a very short score - we have most of it. Elephant Walk is about fifteen minutes or so, I think - and in stereo.

Looks like a great cd. Waxman was one of the best. As a person already noted: "real film music."

Thanks Bruce for keeping the golden age alive!

Bruce, hopefully you will answer this inquiry. Has the score from COME BACK, LITTLE SHEBA survived?

At this point, it doesn't look like it, but I've learned to never say never.

I always love Waxman, and so I plan to love this three-fer.

I hope somebody does get around to "Rear Window" someday. I know, of course, it's largely a few source pieces. But I love them!

As I will begin doing now, I've posted a sample track from the Waxman set on haineshisway dot com. Just click on "Now Playing" on the left menu selection.

Thanks for the sample track. I'll definitely be picking up this Waxman disc, as his music never disappoints.
Also enjoyed your new website layout!

Oh, that "Elephant Walk" theme!
This is exactly the kind of sound that says "Hollywood" to me! That's why I fell in love with Waxman's music from the beginning - because of this and "Peyton Place" and "Untamed" and "Prince Valiant" and "The Philadelphia Story" and...

smile

Yes oh yes ! Truly beautiful. This is what makes me spend money on soundtracks. Hopefully Hollywood will return to this kind of music someday. I hope John Williams stays with us a longtime. What will we have without him?

Bruce, any chance the art director for this title produced flipper art for the two extra titles?

I just placed an order for this title along with When a Stranger Calls and Alien Nation film scores.
