On Alan Howarth's FB profile he posted that both were forthcoming (Lost Empire in June 2012 / Retribution in Summer 2012) last year in seperate, "complete" editions.
Retribution would have tied in nicely with the Code Red DVD release last year. These AHI (?) releases tend to delay of course, but i'm just anxious to learn if anybody "in the know" knows something more detailed?
I haven't asked Mr. Howarth himself this time, as I didn't get any responses to my emails (but DID get the releases I was lobbying for - better than any written reply, smile).
While the Silva release covered much of the essential material from both films, there still are many unreleased tracks from both films that I long for.
I couldn't find the recent The Lost Empire announcement thread. I just wanted to say it's great to finally have the pre-credit sequence and the "jewelry shop" tracks.
Alan wrote such a great variety of themes and they really get a chance to breathe on this release. It certainly fits right in with the best John Carpenter scores. A heartfelt thanks to BSX, Mike Joffe and Alan Howarth for putting together such a perfect package for this kickass score.
Does anyone have any news about Alan Howarth's Retribution score? I seem to remember that someone mentioned last year that it'll be re-released in remastered/expanded form sometime in the not too distant future.
