Just purchased a stand-alone DVD recorder/player. In order to make one legitimate copy of a DVD one must purchase special only DVD-RW compatible with CPRM, a configuration that is encoded into many channels to prevent you from copying randomly. However, these approved DVDs were at one time available with difficulty, now impossible to locate. Does anyone know how/where to purchase them? I don't believe the Japanese DVD-Rs (compatible with CPRM) will work in the recorder's VR mode which I think only works with -RWs.

Anyone else frustrated by this probelm?
