At last? The guy's been plenty busy, despite the consistently underwhelming quality of his scores, for years! How "at last"???

I was largely unfamiliar with Tyler's work until this year, but after Iron Man 3, I am excited about this.

I think it is awesome that he gets to do another Marvel flick. I love Brian Tyler's music and will certainly be excited to hear this one!

It's natural choice - MARVEL really liked what Brian had done for IRON MAN 3.

I like Brian Tyler plenty - but would like to see him attached to more projects that gave us the output of "The Killing Room" than yet another bombastic action movie.

You have this year's "Standing Up". End Credits here:

As did I. I would have loved to hear what a new composer could have done (like Burwell, who was originally attached), but Tyler proved he could write a fantastic score with an identifiable, yet malleable (for different situations), heroic theme for a main character. I'll be giving his Iron Man 3 another listen today in honor of this news. smile

I do hope he uses a theme or two Doyle established in the first one though I doubt this will happen. One thing about Marvel they don't give a damn about continuity sake when it comes to the score.

Yep. We, all of us, really should've seen this coming. Can't wait to hear it.

Not as intriguing as a Carter Burwell score would have been, but at least it isn't a Zimmer Pet. [tm]
