Hello all,

I have quite a few of you as "friends" on Facebook. I don't know why I did that. Please don't misunderstand me - it's not that I don't know why I invited you to be/ accepted you as friends on Facebook, it's just that I can't imagine why I ever even thought about signing up in the first place.

I won't bore you with any more of this. Bottom line is I never look at it, and if I do it's just a quick gander once a month. So I'm missing all your birthdays and stuff like that! Anyway, I'm not deliberately ignoring you - although that is the result - I'm just attempting to avoid the terrible world of Bookface, Twatter and all the rubbish that keeps me away from doing worthwhile things.

Thanks! Bye!

I never really thought about your lack of activity on facebook, to be honest. People use it in their own fashion, which is perfectly fine.

So...does this mean you're leaving the place?

HI Graham

I'd jump to have you as a friend on facebook, but I closed my account last year and went cold turkey for all the reasons you cited above. LinkedIn is the way forward for anyone over 25...

He, he...that's like saying it's better to have a beer in the office than in the pub.
