I switched on my computer and was prompted to listen to August Rush by Mancina on spotify, but found this score winking at me first. I have the CD but haven't listened to it for years. I'd forgotten how lovely the main theme was. It's a soothing, sad-tinged melody full of that longing vibe I can never get enough of. There are some electronic-tinged darker cues and some tracks annoyingly bleed into each other, but the tracks Looking At You, Return To Paradise, Desperate Lovers, I'll Miss You and Epilogue are well worth a listen. Thoughts anybody?
I once owned the CD, but I later sold it. A disappointment for a fan of Mancina's 90s action scores, but I guess he wanted to show he could do something else. And that's understandable.
