Williams has scored four films that feature U.S. Presidents.

and the JOHN QUINCY ADAMS material from AMISTAD.

Would love to hear a suite by him featuring all these wonderful themes and superb music. I think it would make a stunning presentation.

Wonder if he's contemplated it?

If memory serves, I think he has done this concept on a couple of occasions.

Of course, he's also done a few other 'presidential' things -- like the "Air and Simple Gifts" for Obama, the fanfare for candidate Michael Dukakis, the "American Journey" with Bill Clinton lending his narration and an upcoming piece called "For the President's Own" (even though that's written for marine band).

Williams has done a suite from Lincoln. For those in the Detroit area, that suite is part of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's program at the 4th of July week concerts at Greenfield Village.
I heard Leonard Slatkin interviewed this morning on the radio and he said the DSO is only the second Orchestra to play the suite in concert.

Has Williams' Symphony No.1 (1966) been recorded and/or released on CD?

Has Williams' Symphony No.1 been released on CD?

Not sure what that has to do with the presidents, but no, it has never been recorded or released.
