Jon Brion's score to the Pixar short, THE BLUE UMBRELLA is available on iTunes in both vocal (featuring Sarah Jaffe) and instrumental versions.

The short is attached to the theatrical release of MONSTERS UNIVERSITY.

And I doubt it will be. Same as Michael Giacchino's score for the short Paperman. Available is the US and NOWHERE ELSE!

I can understand that for older scores licenses may prohibit where scores can be released and studios don't want the cost/hassle of renegotiating for little return, but when for new scores they still can't sort out distribution rights it's a sad state and really doesn't bode well for a future without physical media.

Don't sweat it, Giacchino didn't do Paperman. It was Christophe Beck.
