Whoa, momma, look at those endless, slender gams. (And I'm not talking about Leslie's.)

A remake of a title of a Mary Pickford silent -

the source for the song "Something's Gotta Give" -

another 1950s movie that pairs a 20 something ingenue opposite a 50s yr old leading man-

Wish they'd (finally) release the tracks to this....

Although we do have the Alex North ballets.

Ever notice that the floor Astaire and Caron are dancing on at the end is the same as the throne room in THE EGYPTIAN?

Marvelous, how those tiles held up over the centuries....

Always thought this movie was about a spider.

That did nasty stuff.

(I mean, this was the 50's, and there were movies like that, and I was alive then, albeit MUCH younger....)

Dear John,

No, I never noticed those tiles, but now I'll take a closer look at both films. THANKS for the very observant observation!

And, the cocktail party at the beginning of "Three Coins in the Fountain" takes place in Richard Burton's Roman villa from "The Robe." And, I'm sure props and furniture from "Cleopatra" showed up in "The Other Side of Midnight."

And, in virtually the only outdoor shot in THE KING AND I, Deborah Kerr follows the Siamese procession past the pylon of Aton's temple from THE EGYPTIAN, draped with appropriately Siamese hangings...
