Very cool! I have this somewhere and I believe this is the only piece he conducted the whole night. I didn't get it, "guest" conductors should get a little more playtime.
Great! Quite amazing for a youth orchestra! I wonder if some musicians did later perform on a Goldsmith filmscore recording written and conducted by the maestro himself.
Great, now I have that melody stuck in my head again. And I was glad it was gone after having listened to The Lone Ranger a couple of times this weekend
But seriously though, a great video! Wonderful to see Goldsmith in action. After all these years, I still miss the guy.
Not a bad job at all. I imagine it would be pretty damn nerve-wracking for the kids. Like when Bugs went up to the podium and everyone thought it Leopold! LOL
