If one grows weary of African communal chants or Arabian/Persian wailings, I invite your attentions to these Nordic chants of Gregorian scope. Arguably a medieval European pagan`s answer to tribal song from other lands. This series of albums will be a trilogy.

An alternate descriptive: what would happen if Marilyn Manson pursued Gregorian Chant.

The only caveat is that you may be pulled out of a chant state if you understand the language of the chant itself (Norwegian I believe).

The best chants are partially intelligible - words, yet not words that can be received as speech. Thats why Latin is so good for chorus. Or Dwarven (etc.). Such forces you to take them on musical terms.

Anyhoo, recommended.
