I found this, and I have no idea what it would sound like. And I think we probably don't want to know.

I'll bet that's something he wouldn't have wanted to be reminded of...

Is this real?

Rod McKuen actually mentions this on his website:

http://www.rodmckuen.com/flights/150299.htm

There, he claims to have written it for "Songs Our Mummy Taught Us" (although a quick check on Amazon indicates that it doesn't actually appear on that album -- or at least, not under that name). He seems quite fond of that slate of songs, saying: "I like the music to it a lot and it was really a tribute to my old friend Les Baxter..."

As for what it sounds like -- wonder no more! smile

"He goes in for some pretty fancy necking..."

Interesting artwork from Hammer's BRIDES OF DRACULA. Not the most flattering shot of David Peel though.

I know not very flattering for a good looking man as DAVID PEEL was. I find this find amusing because it sought of goes against the image one would have of ROD MCKEON. A more laidback sensitive sophisticated singer and man , not one where the word HIP, would really come into play, so I get a kick out of this.
