I'm revisiting the t.v. series again and i see there's A LOT of great music absent from the official CD's... I think there should be a new volume (2CDs) of music from 'Lost'. They could name it "LOST: The Lost Tracks"... Perhaps limited to 2000 copies? 2500? VĂ rese, please???
I would certainly buy this, particularly if it contained a lot of season one music - later seasons were perhaps overly catered for in comparison. There is a particular version of the wonderful Life and Death theme that went unreleased from season one, as far as I can recall.
Most notably, we're missing the music during Sawyer's witnessing of Aaron's birth in "The Little Prince". Without a doubt, it was one of my favorite musical moments of season 5, and I couldn't believe it was left off the album.

That is a great cue. There is a lot of great Sawyer music unreleased, if I recall his theme was one of the most under-represented of all character themes throughout the series' CDs. Maybe one or two quotes of his theme from the entire run! There is a great execution of his theme during his showdown with Kevin Tighe on the Black Rock that I wish had been released (and more on any Sawyer-centric episodes).
I would definitely buy more music from this show if it were released!
While I'm largely satisfied with the music available - as compared to other series like MacGyver, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, etc. - I'd certainly be in for another volume of music.
Notably, I could do with more of the early Season 1 music, the more synthy stuff, and some music from Season 5 & 6, like more of Jack's sideways theme.
But the one cue that I really wanted is the second half of the prologue of The Incident; the music immediately following "The Tangled Web" from the Season 5 CD.
The scene in season 3, when Locke, Sayid and Kate come across a field of sonic fences (which Locke then pushes Mikhail into). It's only a short piece (45 seconds), but I'd love to have it even if it is part of a suite.
I still have never watched Lost, but I love the music! Some of my favorite TV score albums to listen to. I'd definitely buy a "Lost: The Super Freakin' Deluxe Edition" or something like that from Varese.
