Bishara's scores are too much for me apart from the film but I'm glad he is getting released on La La Land because he is writing some interesting horror scores and shows some real talent.

I really liked his music for Insidious. Hoping for similar when I see The Conjuring!

Looking forward to "The Conjuring", both movie & score!

Yep. Was quite impressed with INSIDIOUS both film and score so this should be a winner. Intrigued that there's a Mark Isham track on it. Was he up for doing the whole thing at one point?

Got THE CONJURING through and gave it a listen. If you liked INSIDIOUS you'll love this extra creepy score.Great for horror fans. If you're looking for toe-tapping themes... look elsewhere!
Still curious about Mark Isham's track on this. Anyone know what his involvement was?

It arrived yesterday and I've given it a couple of spins; I agree about the lack of toe-tapping themes, this is very ambient and creepy music, and as such a good follow up to Insidious and Dark Skies. Like you, I have no idea about Isham's involvement, but I will say that his 'family theme' sounds very Thomas Newman'esque and I do appreciate the workout it's been given in that one cue. I consider it like the icing on the cake!

As for the movie - which I haven't seen yet - I was surprised to read that it was given an R-rating not because of it being too gory, or having explicit language, or having sex or nudity, but... and hold on here this should give the rating commission their props and show them off as the baboons that they are: because it was deemed 'too scary'. roll eyes Who are these people?!?

The movie is a doozy. This is a great haunted house/ possession film that develops it's character and mood. And trust me, the best scares and fright scenes are not in the trailer.

This will more than likely hang with you well after the movie is over and you will not want to sleep above the covers. smile
