Saw this picture a couple of times when it first came out, in 1955. Loved it then. I was 6.

Might have been Maclaine's second film, after THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY.

Always enjoyed the score, which, curiously, has never been released, only bits and pieces.

Had a hit song, "Inamorata," which is now considered one of Dean Martin's signature tunes.

But the title song was fun.

Saw a lot of the film on TCM recently, and realized just how silly it all is, particularly with a thinly veiled Russian spy subplot, with Anita Ekberg on hand for window dressing. Not to mention the kind of homoerotic aspects of the characters played by Martin and Lewis....
