Hula Flowers in hair? Splice the mainbrace thats not the one Mr Christian falls for, is it?

The more violent, wind-whipped lagoons seem grey,
while the sleepier lagoons, like this one, seem blue,
or sometimes green.

Still....the eventual Mrs. Granger lends this one a
full Technicolor hue. smile

what a shame that the inferior remake with its gratuitious nudity has prevented this original from being shown anywhere --- Jean Simmons is so much better and more beautiful than the young Brooke Sheilds. Most people dont even know this 1949 version exists - what I wont give to see this one restored by the BFI -- why not? Much less worthy films have been .

BTW this version features a beautiful score by Clifton Parker (the remake does have good one too by Basil Poledouris).
