"The Conjuring" is receiving some great reviews, and it is one of the few recent films that I am anxious in seeing. Besides the wonderful reviews, Vera Formiga is one of my favorites.
It's funny. I saw the trailers for Insidious 2 and The Conjuring back-to-back at the theater recently, and if it wasn't for the titles I could have easily mistaken them for the same movie. Almost every ghost movie I've seen or even just seen the trailer for in the last few years looks like they are cut out of an identical mold: same angles, same scares, same use of music, same general look; it's as if they're made by the same guy following the same pattern.
I'm quite excited by James Wan...he hasn't made a mis-step yet (although he admittedly came close with Dead Silence)...very much looking forward to his future output...
