You want to see women get their heads cut off? My goodness! Obviously, you feel even more threatened by assertive women than does Storyteller.

You both have to learn that a woman's breast is not threatening.

LOL.

Oh no! Their flappy sacks are coming to get me!

I'll tell you one thing. If women are stupid enough to belief this fruitcake's map of where it is legal to go topless, there are going to be a great number of women cooling their heals (& breasts) in the overnite holding cell!

According to this BoZo roughly three quarters of the states allow women to go topless. Including such forward thinking states as Louisiana, Georgia and Alabama. PUHlease!!!!!

Oh, give me a break! You actually took that sarcastic post seriously? Did you not notice the emoticon?

It may come as a surprise to some folks, but many women are not all that interested in walking around topless. Ask around. I did.

It's something that would frequently appeal to the activist type. There's nothing wrong with that, but often the fervor for a cause sometimes obscures the message to the point where the cause itself becomes secondary to being adversarial for it's own sake.

Sure, that's because society would still sexualize the female breasts for some time to come. Keep in mind there was a time when women couldn't show their knees on the beach. If the male chest was sexulaized for 200 years not many men would feel comfortable walking around topless if it suddenly became legal. It's another step in normalizing attitudes towards the human body- part by part.

Well, that's not quite the answer I would get whenever I would ask the question. Except in those cases where the woman was a bit younger. So I guess age has a great deal to do with it, but I am careful not to overgeneralize about that particular aspect.

It's that time of year again.

Sunday, August 24 is the 7th Annual Go Topless Day with events planned in 60 major cities. Each year the participation grows larger as more women join the cause.

Scout Willis, the daughter of Demi Moore, has been invited to lead the Go Topless Women's Pride Parade in New York City. Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Amanda Palmer have also been invited to set an example that women's breasts are nothing to be ashamed of or hidden away, and that women have the constitutional right to go topless just like men do.

Check out the website and explanations here:

http://gotopless.org/

Warning to those who plan on joining the demonstration in Phoenix, Arizona: don't. If you do, make arrangements with your lawyer first. The police can't wait for demonstrations like this. Taking your top off and demonstrating in Arizona will result in a definite bust followed by a week-long examination in a psych ward.

I think we should have a "go naked" day.

Funny how you slipped in the word bust.

There was a time not too long ago, when men had to wear swimsuits with the equivalent of tank tops attached. That was law.

It is of course all relative. There are African tribes who do not regard the bosom as primarily sexual but are scrupulous about the nether regions. It's a simple fact that conditioning creates urges by repression. Victorians were titillated by a glimpse of stocking. That was, after all, their own doing, and stoked the very fires they denounced.

And of course if fashions don't change, then where are we all?

Plus the whole breast-feeding in public thing: once it was unheard of, but we know what's best for baby.
It's really not the big moral issue in itself that the 'let's show our daddies how righteous we can be to get their approval' testosterone-backed angry young moralists make it out to be.

It makes a change from nonsense about certain other freedoms.

Better gazongas than guns surely. You can flash your Uzi but not your buzi it would seem...

As demonstrated in Japan making any part of the human body obscene is also used as a form of repression for women.

I think it would be lamentable to no longer have women`s breasts objects of eroticism and desire. Baring them in public as a matter of routine will bring that about. I therefore hope this "right" is not commonly exercised.

Why focus on one part of the body? The whole body is beautiful and a work of art. Well for some. wink
