It's one of my favourite films of all time. I think it's simply brilliant, and almost accidentaly so. There was some hype about "newly found footage" a few days ago (the stuff that Sir Chris says is buried under a motorway), but there's really nothing new here that we haven't seen before, except improved image quality. Still, wonderful film. I'm proud to be one of the cult, the cult of those who have visited all the locations where the film was shot, had a pint in the bar that features prominently... proud to be one of the "Wicka Wankas"!

This film has the distinction of being one of the very, very, few films where the name 'McCrum' appears. As Eddie searches through the school register for Rowan's name, 'McCrum' appears on the roll. At some point the McCrums dwelt on the Isle of Skye.
