A new assignment for Marco Beltrami...oh yes.

Yikes, Photoshop failure. Check out the drunken clone tool ghosting of Jeff Bridge's head in the top left section.

I don't know the intricate details, I do know Toumas Kantelinen recorded early 2013 (before May). Rahman is claiming he backed out of the project, on July 12 on his Twitter, but that's over three months after the score was done. So, he was either doing his score seperately from Tuomas, or he's not being honest and he's trying to cover it up.

Yes, the film is exactly what a January release promises. But the score will be interesting nevertheless.

As far as I know it was a very troubled production and the result did not please anybody. BeltramiĀ“s score will be the only saving grace.

Hey everyone, just heard the complete score recently and not one single person will be surprised to hear from me that it is AWESOME. People know my enthusiasm for Beltrami's music around here so make of this comment what you will, but for anyone curious to hear Beltrami in full-on powerful huge orchestra fantasy mode, you are in for a true treat. This is one hell of an epic fantasy score, pretty much Beltrami's first, and he excels in this genre without question. Great themes, complex and furious action material, lots of woodwinds alongside the resonant strings, brass, and percussion, and a strong fantasy element executed by a giant orchestra. The action music is fast and furious like DH5 but minus that score's strong synth element; there are electronics in the score but they play a very minimal supporting role. Outstanding additional music by Roberts and Trumpp as well! Hoping for a score release, this is big time movie music!
