I'm not sure about the packaging - from the looks of the photo of the set, the discs might get scratched up if it is indeed cardboard sleeves - we shall see.
I'm pretty happy with my individual season sets - all 12 seasons look great next to each other...:-)
I'm still sulking about the last five seasons not available on Region 2 (even if said five seasons do include such stinkers as "Though The Heavens Fall").
If they don't provide the second season's missing episode "Bored, She Hung Herself," this it's not complete.
My sentiment exactly! Also, I wonder if they cleaned up season 10. The visuals on almost all of the episodes is noticeably inferior to those of the other 11 seasons.

UPDATE (8/7): Sources at the studio have informed us that the missing-from-The 2nd Season episode, "Bored, She Hung Herself ," will NOT be found on The Complete Series set. At this time we assume that the on-disc content of all episodes for The Complete Series DVDs will be the exact same versions as in the individual season sets; if we find out otherwise in any other way (for instance, regarding the remastering of the tenth season), then we will let everybody know.
First, the bad news: Hawaii Five-O The Complete Series has been pushed back until December 3 from the original date of November 5.
The reason for the delay is the good news; they're redoing the tenth season of the show. Fans will recall the tenth season was the only one out of the twelve seasons that wasn't remastered, and fans complained quite loudly. New transfers were done after the tenth season was released on DVD, with episodes appearing on Netflix and other download/streaming services. It sounds as though CBS will use those masters in the complete series set, which will please fans buying the new set (those new transfers will only be available in the complete series).
As for "Bored, She Hung Herself," the second season episode that hasn't been seen since the original airing... it's still not planned for the complete series set.
Well, if that ain't a kick in the head for all those of us who purchased all twelve seasons separately, and won't be able to upgrade our season 10 sets with an improved version. A season 10 only set with the new transfers really should be available as a stand alone so that those who want the upgrade don't have to purchase the whole series set to get it.

I have all the seasons except ten because of the remastering issue which I wouldn't have purchased at any price in that condition. I can do without it-- unless they should reissue that season individually.
CBS is really screwing its fans with this new box set. If we wait long enough, they will release it yet again in Blu Ray - the ONLY way I would re-purchase a new set is if CBS included "Isolated Music" score tracks on the DVDs.
