Today I received this reply from De Wolfe to an e-mail of complaint I sent them a couple of weeks ago. They are aware their reply is being shared here:
Thanks for your enquiry. I'm sorry to hear that you and the rest of the online soundtrack fan forum community are frustrated with the Witchfinder General situation.
We have just gone through a change of distributors which resulted in the miscommunication of release information on the web. Basically the old distributor informed all the stores that the soundtrack was now 'deleted' (before it had even come out) which has caused much confusion!
We have now secured a new deal and can once again get the ball rolling on this wonderful soundtrack. You will not be disappointed...
As for a release date I cannot be specific, but I can promise it will be out before the year ends, hopefully on both LP and CD with extensive artwork and sleevenotes.
