Watch the whole thing if you must. I personally find Steve Allen annoying when he's behind a piano (maybe I'm jealous).
But DO NOT MISS the vintage production number with Steve (Lawrence) and Eydie, back when they were young and the arrangements behind them were dyna-freaking-mite!

Thanks, David! I never liked Steve Allen, but he was incredibly talented. He came off as being very smug and I mostly disliked him for his disdain of rock n roll in the early days. I remember watching Steve and Eydie on numerous variety shows when I was a boy and I liked them. They certainly seemed happy together. I remember feeling badly for them when they were on Sullivan on one of those nights when he featured The Beatles. Sullivan began introducing S & E and when he said "Now here they are"... the kids in the audience went nuts, thinking he was bringing on The Beatles. It had to be embarrassing for S & E. Also, when I was a boy, a friend's mom resembled Eydie and I had a bit of a crush on both.
I must say that I really enjoyed that Steve Allen Music Room show. I had never heard of it, and didn't have any access to the Disney Channel when it aired there in 1984. I see that there are another half-dozen episodes or so on YouTube. I'll have to check them out.

Bob, please let me know if any are worthwhile. The songs S&E did I thought were ho-hum, so I wasn't keen on watching more. And I agree with Jackfu about Allen seeming smug.
But I'd go back if other guests were good, or if there were more of those swell vintage music performances.
