I bought the WB 4 pack Kubrick DVD that includes 2001, The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut, and Barry Lyndon. I've been trying to track down Barry Lyndon on DVD for years, and lo and behold f.y.e. had this particular collection stocked.. in the horror section. None of the trappings or extras, just the standard DVD releases of these 4 movies in one case which I split up into multiple cases myself. Yes, I could have ordered it online but I'm stubborn about that and knew a copy of BL would show up at f.y.e. sooner or later. New or used. You'd be amazed what you'll find at that store in the bins (new and used) if you wander in fairly regularly.
I really just bought this for Barry Lyndon, and the transfer here is pretty good quality to my eyes. Very satisfied. For about 10 bucks getting the movie I wanted plus those others was a huge bargain. And while all this does not really relate to the topic, I didn't want to start a whole thread relaying thoughts on the single case packaging of multiple movies.
