WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14

SUPERMAN VS. BATMAN---Bryan Cranston commented on the rumor that he's a candidate to play Lex Luthor in the sequel, "Give me a call." He added, "I like Lex Luthor. I think he’s misunderstood. He’s a loveable, sweet man." Cranston said his wife didn't like his bald head for BREAKING BAD which could be an obstacle to playing Lex Luthor, "She wasn’t so keen on the bald head. The bald head ages a man. It’s just that she didn’t know me that way. The last six years it’s all of a sudden like sleeping with a stranger — who was less exciting than her own husband. So I don’t blame her for being upset."

DOCTOR WHO---Google Maps has an Easter egg that allows viewers to see the Tardis and its interior in London for the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who.

EXORCIST II: THE HERETIC---William Friedkin commented on a sneak preview of the 1977 sequel to his THE EXORCIST in Pasadena, "Ten minutes into the picture, a guy stood up in the audience. He stood up and looked around and he said, 'The people who made this piece of sh*t are in this room. And somebody else said, 'Where? Where are they?' Ten or twelve people get up and he says, 'They're all back there!' The heads of the studio got up and ran out of the theater. They were chased down the street. And that was the first public reaction to THE EXORCIST II." The sequel starred Linda Blair and Richard Burton.

The memoir will "share personal anecdotes about the women in his life, about his dog, Baxter, and his legendary news team. Along the way, he’ll also give sage advice on a variety of topics that matter most to him.”

CHAPPIE---movie from Neil Blomkamp (DISTRICT 9, ELYSIUM) in which two gangsters steal a robot with artificial intelligence to help them in their illegal activities.

Presumably they're going to edit out all the nudity and profanity?

MOSES 4-EVA!

Seriously, I'm quite excited about this particular version since it's one of my favourite directors behind the wheel. Could be another GLADIATOR, look-wise, but that's OK.

Friedkin seems to NEVER be able to pass up a chance to slag the 2nd movie. The first movie was great. He made it. That should be enough for him.

Cranston as Luthor would be excellent. hopefully it comes to fruition, and hopefully that rumor about the chick from Percy Jackson is true too. now if only they could get Michael Jai White to play John Stewart.
