Aside from the fact that I saw the first Star Wars in the theatre as a kid, I have never patronized the Star Wars Corporation: Never saw the sequels, never collected the action figures, never even thought of picking up a soundtrack.
At the same time, it is impossible for me to pass up a moog LP, regardless of content.
So, today, I happily plunked down $5.99 for the Electric Moog Orchestra's "Star Wars" LP at the B&M store in my hood.
Spinning it now.
Aside from the two hits, I have no idea how any of this music was supposed to sound originally.
So far, the money cut is "Imperial Attack." "Cantina Band" is better than the original.
God, I love moog albums.

Mildly off-topic, but I've always been a big fan of Dick Hyman's Moog work.
In any event, I'll have to seek this album out, too - sounds like a very lively interpretation of the Williams material. It would make sense that the Electric Moog Orchestra would be a pick-up ensemble of various session players and synthesists.
