You released many expanded and complete scores from John Williams by the years,my question is
will you released the complete trilogy from Harry Potter in expanded or complete form? i Always thougt that Warner Bros released the complete recordings of the trilogy because of the Lord of the Rings Complete Recordings that sell very good.but unfortunately i was wrong

2 things:

I think MV said something about their being licensing problems.
Also, it'd be good to put 'request' in the title, because now several people will think this is an announcement and will then read the content of the message and then hate you. I won't, but some might.

I second that recommendation that you change this thread title... I would also love a complete Potter III release!

No answer from La La Land?

Well....you could email them directly about your question. You may get a faster response.

I'm not sure MV hangs around here to continually answer peoples requests for scores they would like released.

Just a thought.

La La Land Records:
(January 10, 2011)

To make things easier on some of you here is a brief list of titles that we are not able to License at this time:

Contact
Superman Returns
Batman Begins
All Harry Potter's
1492
The Last Samurai
North By Northwest
Practical Magic
The Witches Of Eastwick

Of course, we now know why on two of those -- Intrada ended up doing NBNw, and Perserverance did TWoE (which MV said they can do the complete score to after the PR release sells out).

Hmm, these are the timings of the first three Harry Potter albums:

"... and the Sorcerer's Stone" - 1:13:36
"... and the Chamber of Secrtets" - 1:10:08
"... and the Prisoner of Akzaban" - 1:08:24

Here's a novel idea. Why not release film scores that have never been on CD AT ALL ahead of more, mostly marginal, material from scores already extensively covered by existing releases?

Because Harry Potter released would sell really well and enable labels like LLL to invest in releasing other scores, some of which have not seen the light of day.

They said that about The Three Tenors and *real* classical releases too. Never once worked.

Well if we're doing requests we might as well request the best Potter score, Goblet of Fire.

There's a lot of money in the Harry Potter market - a LOT of money - and if they ever decide to expand any of the soundtracks, it will likely be done like the recent Indiana Jones expansions - a much wider/unlimited release by a major label.

It's the only one I am remotely interested in.

Here's another novel idea: Rather than condescendingly tell him what he should like (as if what we like is somehow dictated by logic), why not let him want what he wants?

I like you. A LOT. smile

I think all of the first four HP scores deserve "deluxidizing" at some point. All album releases are missing some wonderful material and even major setpieces, such as "Troll in the Dungeons" from HP:SS ( http://youtu.be/AzeieFokHBA ); even the DVD-ripps of CoS and PoA offer some amazing unreleased music.

As for Doyle, in my parallel universe, he got offered the HP series from the very start, so obviously I'd be much in favour of a complete GoF, incl. the lovely alternate "Hogwarts Hymn" ( http://youtu.be/WQp6EXMjO88 ).

Argentinian label Bayres is going to publish a complete Harry Potter box. 16 CDs. Two CDs of each HP films, 1028 minutes of music. Intermezzo Media sells this box for 119,90 euros.

What do you think of this, pirate box or what?
