Before I begin, I should note how many marvelous releases the label has done involving Batman, so I'm just gonna limit this to non-Bat titles:
Bad Girls - There are a lot of Jerry Goldsmith titles I could've put here, but I chose this one because I had little knowledge of the music; I pulled the trigger during a sale a couple years ago. It was love at first listen. A fine score, with a terrific main theme.
Clue - Of all the John Morris titles from the label, I was most looking forward to this one. (Yes, even more than Spaceballs.)
The Flash - A nice precursor to the 'Batman: TAS' scores, with my favorite Elfman TV theme binding it together.
The Golden Child - Michel Colombier's work may have been more appropriate for the film (and is an acquired taste, on its own), but John Barry's music is gorgeous.
Green Lantern: the Animated Series - This has special resonance for me, as I picked up Vol. 1 at Emerald Comics during the Fans of Film Music weekend in 2012 and I even got to meet (and get an autographed copy from) Frederik Wiedmann.
The Howling - Very eclectic work by Pino Donaggio. There's so much to enjoy here: the use of harmonica, the stinger cues, the hyperventilatory motif for Karen's anxiety...
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - One of John Ottman's finest scores. His theme for Harmony is perfection.
The Phantom - The kind of music that David Newman doesn't get much opportunity to write anymore and nearly 80 minutes of it. What more is there to say?
The Punisher - Carlo Siliotto's music is almost operatic; perfect for the film and too big for it at the same time.
Terror Tract - Terrible movie, but perhaps Brian Tyler's best score.
Willard - This release makes me sad. It's nothing against the score (which is excellent) or the movie (ditto), but one can't help but feel crushed that Shirley Walker isn't still here creating music like this.
