peter sallis, the actor from Last of the Summer Wine, was my neighbour.

well, when i say neighbour, he sat next to me at the premiere of this film.

OK, when i say sat next to me, he and his family were in the same row, alright.

well, when i say "same row" i suppose he was about 5 rows back.

But we were neighbours and i considered him a good friend of mine.

When I say good friend, obviously, we've never spoken, as such.

And he jumped a lot higher than me at the bit where the torch suddenly shows the er... thing in the tunnel on top of Tom S.

TO Bill Carson- No big deal, I think I told this story before on some thread. When I was young I had a job where I went to her apartment in NEW YORK CITY, to have certain papers sign for a firm I was working at. She often offered me pop or a drink while she sign the needed papers. This was in the late 70's, it was only my second job, so being a young dude it was fun.
