Any fans of the Italian Polizia genre of the 1970s (and I guess early 80s)?

I've seen lots of these over the years, but have forgotten the titles. Like giallos, some of these tend to run together in my mind, given similarities between casts and the fact that I'm drinking red wine while I'm watching them.

The two that I own are "Cop in Blue Jeans" and the amazing "Street Law," with Franco Nero. I love any movie with Franco Nero.

What are some of your favorite polizia films, and which ones are as great as "Street Law?"

You forgot to put "Star Trek" in the title. Welcome to the occupation. I've lost count of the worthy threads that have dropped like cocks during wake-up call at Marine boot camp.

I altered the title hoping to get some more hits.

It's funny, I'm accused of having limited taste, and then I post about and entire genre of film and no one here seems to even know what it is. wink

I don't understand the question.

I don't understand the question.

Easy. Have you ever seen a polizia film, and if so, which one(s) would you recommend?

Onya, I hope you know I was only being a wag when I made my Star Trek crack. I didn't mean to diminish your thread by saying it.
But when I returned to the board and saw you changed the title--oh crap, did I laugh!

Anyway, I apologize.

I feel your angst, Onya. And to add insult to injury, may I just say that I can't think of any Polizia films which I've seen, although I did have a Polizia car when I was a lad. It was a green VW, and you could turn its wheels by twisting the little polizia light on its roof.

ToneRow would help you out on this one, but he seems to have buggered off on holiday. Rather selfish of him if you ask me.

Bill, I have NOT gone over to the other side! I was merely using the tactics of the other side in order to drum up interest!
