I have no problem with my CD. The thin and very (too ?) elaborated writing is clearly listened. It has a better sound than the e-album in mp3 format issued just before.
Maybe a bad pressing process for some copies ? I never heard about troubles from other collectors I known, so I suppose that bad phenomenon remains rare.
For what it's worth, the worst sounding Morricone release I have is 'Hundra' on the Laserlight label (I missed the Prometheus release). Absolutely terrible.
Off-topic: Don't worry ... both releases sound the same to me! At least the Prometheus release has a better sleeve/booklet.
Sorry, off-topic again, but I was always of the impression the Laserlight release was just a cheap straight transfer, whereas the Prometheus was a good sounding remastered release. Obviously not. Anyone know the issue with the sound here then? Maybe some chance of a decent sounding rerelease at some stage?
