Yes, of course we all remember her as Miss Ellie on "Dallas." But what about Howard Keel, as her last love (after the death of the patriarch of the Ewing clan)? I had the pleasure of seeing Keel starring in "Man of La Mancha," and while he didn't match the 2 or 3 times I saw it with its original, the fantastic Richard Kiley, he remains my next best, and certainly far better than Peter O'Toole in the movie version!
As for Barbara Bel Geddes, how about what she and Lorimar did to poor Donna Reed? Reed took over the role when Bel Gesses asked out, but then changed her mind, so they unceremoniously dumped Reed, and as much as I was happy to see the real Miss Ellie back, I always felt sorry for Donna Reed, who was lovely in the role.

Re: I REMEMBER MAMA was a superb film she made in 1948 with Irene Dunne and Oscar Homolka in standout performances.
Ahhhh ... Oscar Homolka! Anybody remember him as the KGB boss with the wild eyebrows in "The Tamarind Seed" with Julie Andrews and Omar Shariff and the great Anthony Quayle? Love that movie and was delighted when it was finally released on DVD! Would you call that one a "Guilty Pleasure"? And boy oh boy, do I long for a soundtrack of John Barry's music for it rather than just the 9.48 medley on the 2-CD "Zulu" compilation!
