Just officially announced by Olive is this top film noir with Dick Powell at his cynically tough-guy best just out of prison on the hunt for who set him up. The transfer should be pretty good as the film was recently restored. Played at Noir City a few years ago I believe. Cannot be more highly recommended. Anyone else seen this hidden gem?
I picked up a print last year, which was the first time I'd seen the film. Quite excellent. There is a youtube online of Rhonda Fleming and Richard Erdman talking to a screening audience at, I believe, The Egyptian.
