Having finally caught a viewing of the film, starring Matt Dillon and Andrew McCarthy, this has become, along with THE FAN and TEX, one of my remaining MOST WANTED Donaggio scores on CD. It's similar to TEX, in that it's very lush and tuneful, with a great Love Theme, some beautiful rural pop rhythmed cues and his typical tension-styled music that recalls BLOW OUT at times. The first 5 or 6 notes of the Love Theme kept reminding me of another film theme, but can I place what it is...? Can I hell!! The film was MGM, who Kritzerland have a good deal with. Bruce is a big Donaggio fan. I wonder if the obscurity of the film, added to Donaggio's hardly red-hot fan-base, is holding this one back. The score was recorded in Italy, under Natale Massara. I live in hope. A two-fer with TEX would be greater than better!

I always enjoyed this score since I first heard it years ago when the film was on cable, I would love to hear another score on CD as well from PINO, OVER THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE-84

Yeah Dan, OVER THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE has some of those bouncy, lighter tracks that Pino is so good at. I'm not such a fan of the songs on the LP, but the romantic/comedic score tracks are great fun. I really enjoy Donaggio's lighter side of scoring.
