The Machine delivers another gripping season’s worth of potential criminal targets for the Person of Interest team. With Finch (Michael Emerson) missing — kidnapped in last season's finale cliffhanger — Reese (Jim Caviezel) enlists Detectives Joss Carter (Taraji P. Henson) and Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman) to join the search for his friend on the second season premiere. Will Reese and his team find Finch before it's too late? Or will Finch's kidnapper learn of The Machine's location first? Who will be the next person of interest? These and other compelling questions are answered in Season Two of this riveting series.
Composer Ramin Djawadi (whose recent films include Iron Man, Pacific Rim and Safe House) returns for the second season of this gritty and compelling crime drama.
Season 2 of Person Of Interest?will be released on DVD?and BluRay on September 3. Season 3 will premiere September 24 on CBS.
Great news. I'm glad Varese are keeping up the TV releases.
Me too! And this is good news to my ears. Djawadi's Person Of Interest Season 1 score was a surprise hit with me... I love the show but didn't notice the music as much during Season 1. Here's hoping Season 2 is full of more great musical moments.
P.S. I guess a soundtrack to a TV show sells better at the start of the next season... several releases (Person of Interest, Revenge, Once Upon a Time Season 1 AND 2) are timed to coincide around or after the premiere of the upcoming season.

If the final episodes of a season are finishing post-production around April or even early May (as is typically the case), the composer then has a ton of material to comb through to make a soundtrack album. So the timing just works out. Although yes, I'm sure aligning these releases to when the networks are promoting the new seasons also makes business sense.
