This movie was amazing. It dealt with race in ways that I was surprised to see in a movie before 1960.



And this was the first time I remember hearing "the N word" in a film of this era. I was pretty-darned surprised.

Just saw this post. Excellent film from director Clarence Brown. Highly recommended now on DVD.
