This movie was amazing. It dealt with race in ways that I was surprised to see in a movie before 1960.
And this was the first time I remember hearing "the N word" in a film of this era. I was pretty-darned surprised.
Director of photography Robert Surtees.
(Will I, once again, be the only person who has seen this movie I'm bringing up?)

Just saw this post. Excellent film from director Clarence Brown. Highly recommended now on DVD.
