Wish I had seen this, because I knew instantly what it was -- I've had the James Brolin movie on DVD for years, although I don't think I've ever gotten around to watching the disc itself, having seen it a few times on cable before I bought it. In fact, I see that I've never taken it out of its shrink wrap. I bought it mainly for Jill Clayburgh, whom I've always loved. Wasn't she amazing in Paul Mazursky's great "An Unmarried Woman"? And she had a fine singing voice -- listen to her in the original Broadway cast recording of "The Rothschilds" by the fellows who gave us "Fiddler On The Roof." She was wonderful and died far too soon.
And speaking of "An Unmarried Woman," I was overjoyed a few years ago when they finally came out with Bill Conti's great soundtrack on CD and bought it immediately. And I was NOT disappointed!
