I wanted to make a seperate thread for this, as Goblinscore mentioned these upcoming Donald Rubinstein scores in the Day of the Dead thread, but I'd hate to see it go unnoticed 
Donald Rubinstein news:
1. Perseverance Records is releasing two new CDs of my music. The first combines my score for the upcoming documentary feature film "Blender," (2013) by German director Susann Reck, with my score for George Romero's feature film, "Bruiser." (1999)
The second will feature concert works based on themes I wrote for George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead," before he decided not to go the orchestral route. It will also include never before released electronic music and song based on the same themes. I will post release dates on my website later this summer.

Very intrigued by the Dawn of the Dead rejected score, the cult movie seems an endless source of music with the Goblin material, the numerous library tracks and now the rejected orchestral score by Rubinstein. Bruiser I already own but I hope the upcoming Perseverance will include more music as the promo is rather short for my liking.
Also interested by his upcoming Blender score. If you haven't already, check out Rubinstein's scores for Martin/Pollock as well as Knightriders. I recently rewatched Martin (1976) and I wonder how this hasn't been remade with the hollywood vampire craze.

Well, first of all I hope that George and Richard would not give permission for a remake ever !!
Rubinstein doesn't give a shit, he'll remake anything. I don't think MARTIN has the brand recognition of a DAWN OF THE DEAD, though.

It's finally here!
This is the world premiere commercial release of Donald Rubinstein's freaky score to George Romero's last film. Recently only available as a 12-minute bootleg, this album features almost the complete score to the film. We have worked closely with the composer, who also included four selections from his score to Blender, a documentary about a mental institution in the Bavarian mountains, including the 18-minute long powerhouse Blues ballad, "Demon Blues".
The liner notes for this Album were not included in the booklet, but will be posted on a future issue of "Six Strings Magazine".
