I realize that Chris Carter's MILLLENNIUM (1996-1999) never had quite as large a following as the 9-year X-Files, but it did have and still has a cult following. I spoke briefly to Lance Henrisksen at a convention last year, and he beamed when I brought up Millennium; it remains to this day his favorite role.

With the outstanding sales of The X-Files: Vol 2, is there any chance MV that La-la-land might consider doing a second volume of Millennium? The first volume was EXCELLENT and was just the tip of the iceberg. Much of Season 3 is still MIA, with only 38 min present on the last release.

You guys at La-la-land did us one better when you released The Lone Gunmen and Harsh Realm, which I'm guessing was a rather risky release, but great nonetheless.

Millennium has a very cult-like following: small but very devoted. In fact, the biggest fangroup (Back To Frank Black) not only have conducted several interviews with the actors from the series (Lance, Megan Gallgher, Brintney Tiplady and others) but have even put out a *500* page book you can buy on Amazon.

So to say these people are fans is... an understatement. They're also really terrific people; I've interacted with them a couple of times on Twitter and on their own forum.

And if I remember correctly, LaLaLand's Millennium sold out sort of quickly, showing it has a calling.

I would GLADLY buy a second volume the moment I could.

That would be great indeed.

That book you mentioned is terrific! I ordered it immediately when it came out and read it cover-to-cover in a weekend. Highly underrated show with a score every bit as compelling as Snow's other works.

Please take note Mr. Gerhard, I think a Vol 2 would sell well wink

*Also recommended: Lance's own "Not Bad For a Human," in which he dedicates quite a bit to his time on Millennium.

I'd be happy just for a repressing of Volume 1, seeing as I never got it during its original run and now the prices are appallingly high. ;-;

I'd love a second volume. While I love what Mark did on X-Files, I find his work on Millennium to be even better. Much more moody and melodic.
So much great music still to be released.
Volume 1 did sell out but it did take a while.

I'd certainly welcome a second MILLENNIUM set.

Glad someone asked this as i was going to. I love the X-Files stuff and have bought both sets but MILLENNIUM always had the edge for me. The first Volume is still regularly on my playlist and is probably my most listened to soundtrack overall. There's so much more great music over the 3 series that could warrant a second volume. Any chance of at least letting us know if its definitely not going to happen?

Snow said in an interview in May it wasn't hapenning, and LLLR's said a year or so back it wasn't going to happen (I don't recall the exact reason, I think it was the studio not interested in a second volume).

Thanks Justin. Disappointed but at least its good to know one way or the other.

Stranger things have happened. Heck, Snow actually wrote new Millennium music a couple of weeks back for a fake movie trailer contest.

As they say on the show, THE TIME IS NOW.

If we keep bringing it up, perhaps we can generate interest... his other La-la-land releases seem to be doing well! I'll remain cautiously optimistic

Would definitely love a second volume myself.

I second that request or interest in a second Volume of Mark Snows Music for Millennium. There are many more great musical moments of that show, especially the wonderful music of episodes like Gehenna (When Katherine comes home with Jordan and is frightened by the porch light that starts to go on, even if there was no motion to be seen) or Force Majeure (when finally the cloned daughters are in the kidnapped schoolbus with Hoffman).

Yes there are many more great moments. And I think why should a production company or studio not be interested if there is a willing base to buy the product? But I'm sure there are many other motives that move these people. And who am I to judge.

I'd definitely be up for more Millennium music. The first release is one of LLL's finest... a great moody listen for a rainy day.

Chris.

Ha! I always pull this set off the shelf on an overcast day too.

I hope folks change their mind and we get another. Surely the sell out of the first volume, the sell out of V1 of TX-F, the sales so strong for V2 that a V3 is now happening, would give pause for second thought.

And now, of course, the new trailer music has to be included.

Been listening to this excellent La-la-land release and wanted to bump it up. If you're a fan of Mark Snow and/or The X-Files and missed out on Millennium, PLEASE check it out! Here's hoping for a second volume

Thanks to you bumping this thread, I discovered the Back to Frank Black book and ordered it from Amazon UK. :-)
After reading the first bit, it seems very good.

There's something about the MILLENNIUM music. I love the X-Files stuff and it is all very similar in style but there's a certain element in his MILLENNIUM scores that just gives it the edge for me. The LaLa release has remained my most played cd. I always come back to this stuff and its grim beauty.
Pleeeeease consider a second volume!
