Long time ago that he scored a non French movie. Seems like a silly low budget teen movie. It angers me that such a talent as he is not getting any good movies to score.

This guy is for me, the best film music composer working today. Period.

Seems that there is a new Harry Potter spin off is being made (not that that would be a 'good' movie, but it would be a good match) ... he should score it.

Listen to this and you'll know what I mean:

1 minute onwards.

No question in my book he is a top notch composer for films. He definitely should get good solid projects. But the film industry is the film industry and we know often what should be does not occur.

I have to agree that Frederic Talgorn is an amazingly talented composer and is mysteriously underutilized.

One should keep a keen lookout for the several orchestral library CDs he recorded for deWolfe. If anyone is unaware of these, I can post the list.

LES AIGUILLES ROUGES (2006) was a wonderfully melodic and descriptive score, now out of print.
This one I heartily recommending picking up. There are two copies at Amazon right now.

I've admired Mr. Talgorn's music for a long time. I agree. He does seem to be undervalued. Then again, it could be that he works only as often as he himself would like to. I would welcome his sound in many blockbuster calibre films. He is clearly capable.

Check out his official site. http://frederictalgorn.com/?page_id=198

That's indeed a such great score... wonderful melody, and some great tracks. Reminded me, again, of Williams in early 80's top form... and some Horner as well. (a 'moody' forest track)... best thing its still pure Talgorn.

I listen to Heavy Metal 2000 quite often... its like a journey into dark space or something... I never saw the film (don't care)... but the music paints bleak desolate vistas with wonderful pockets of hidden (femine) beauty. Spectacular.

Anthony Zimmer is a fine soundtrack too, a kind of Basic Instinct score.

Good to see this highly talented composer finding employ, instead of the usual hacks.

Another vote for Talgorn. Everything I've heard from his foreign scores has been fantastic.

This won't be an "original" score.

Music from the DeWolfe library composed by Frédéric Talgorn is gonna be used here.
