One of my all-time faves. When I was in elementary school, this was a rainy-day staple (along with the Rankin Bass animated version of The Hobbit). Reel-to-reel, of course. I've long been pining for an official soundtrack CD release from both.

Interesting that their pronunciation of the cat's name rhymed with Mayo instead of Mao, considering it was spelled T-a-o.

I know this one, even though I've never actually seen it or even heard the music.

Does anyone remember one of the Disney 'cat' TV movies. I saw it a long time ago. There's this scene where a black cat gets into this car, and the brakes are released. It's all about the cat. Now, this car is on an incline inside a barn, I think. But this car, see, with the cat inside - it starts rolling downhill. Now, this cat sticks his head out the window and he paws, . . . . , yes, paws the steering wheel this way and that while gaining speed downhill. I can't even remember the title or the exact outcome but I can still see that cat driving that car in my mind's eye and it cracks me up every time.

Does anyone recall this movie at all?

another case of Internet ESP.... yesterday
CINEMA RETRO had a brief mention of this film in their new edition which made me take another look at my rare first edition of the book!!!!!!!
I was thinking about it all day and wondering why it never got a dvd release.

An all-time favorite. Would love to see Intrada release the score.

too bad they couldn't have used the same crew for the similar, unconvincing, scene in WHITE FANG!
