TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 DEXTER---the series finale drew 2.8 million viewers which is both a series record and a Showtime record. Also, former showrunner Clyde Phillips gave his version of what the finale episode would have been, "In the very last scene of the series,Dexter wakes up. And everybody is going to think, 'Oh, it was a dream.' And then the camera pulls back and back and back and then we realize, 'No, it's not a dream.' Dexter's opening his eyes and he's on the execution table at the Florida Penitentiary. They're just starting to administer the drugs and he looks out through the window to the observation gallery. And in the gallery are all the people that Dexter killed—including the Trinity Killer and the Ice Truck Killer (his brother Rudy), LaGuerta who he was responsible killing, Doakes who he's arguably responsible for, Rita, who he's arguably responsible for, Lila. All the big deaths, and also whoever the weekly episodic kills were. They are all there. That's what I envisioned for the ending of Dexter. That everything we've seen over the past eight seasons has happened in the several seconds from the time they start Dexter's execution to the time they finish the execution and he dies. Literally, his life flashed before his eyes as he was about to die. I think it would have been a great, epic, very satisfying conclusion." NCIS: NEW ORLEANS---producers Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon are developing a new spin-off set in New Orleans. It will be introduced in a two-episode backplot for NCIS to air in the Spring. An earlier spin-off, NCIS LA: RED, was not picked up by CBS. STAR WARS: EPISODE VII---official casting call suggests EPISODE VII will include a Wookie: ""Male, 7 ft to 7.3 ft tall with a slim/thin build and upright posture. Not too worked out or too 'thick set' especially in the shoulders. Broad facial features would be a bonus". Also, for the STAR WARS: REBELS animated tv series, Freddie Prinze, Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray, Steven Jay Blum and David Oyeowo are in talks to provide voices for the Rebels. JUSTICE LEAGUE---David S. Goyer (MAN OF STEEL, THE DARK KNIGHT) replied when asked if he's writing the script for JUSTICE LEAGUE, "I might be, can't say." CINDERELLA---first photo released from the Walt Disney/Kenneth Branagh movie starring Lili Taylor (DOWNTON ABBEY), Cate Blanchett (THE AVIATOR), Richard Madden (GAME OF THRONES) and Helena Bonham Carter (ALICE IN WONDERLAND). RED---The CW pilot from the creators of THE MENTALIST described as a, “neo-Western drama about the first human settlement on Mars and life on this new frontier, centering on the relationships between the town’s female sheriff, a doctor and a criminal.” HALLOWEEN---to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the 1978 John Carpenter classic horror movie, it will be re-released in theaters in October and followed up with re-releases of HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS and HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS. ATLAS SHRUGGED: WHO IS JOHN GALT?---the producers of the third movie in the trilogy are planning a Kickstarter fund raiser to help finance the movie. Co-producer Harmon Kaslow hopes to raise $250,000 of the $10 million budget and admitted it's more of a publicity stunt than a real effort to raise funds, "There is an incredible amount of vitriol out there and we have every intention of capitalizing on it this time around. The day we launch the Kickstarter campaign those haters are going to come alive. They’re going to come after us in droves, attacking us everywhere online. To them, we say, thank you." TEEN MOM---reality series star Farrah Abraham and Topco Sales are launching a new line of sex toys and novelty items to be sold under her name. Abraham was at Topco headquarters to have molds made of her private parts to produce exact replicas. She said, "I think I'm taking sex symbol to a whole new level today. So now, I'm gonna have a whole like sex line. People are gonna j**k off to me. This is crazy." DR. KEN---NBC sitcom starring Ken Jeong (THE HANGOVER) inspired by his real-life story as a doctor.

. . . to milk the gravy train from. Ew. What would that consist of . . . tiny little horse milk? --No, sorry. I was thinking of "milking the chuck wagon."
