The British Film Institute has released a new trailer for director Werner Herzog's Nosferatu The Vampyre (1979), starring Klaus Kinski, Isabelle Adjani, and Bruno Ganz. This hauntingly elegant vampire film will be released theatrically on November 1 as part of the BFI's UK-Wide Gothic season.

The film will also be released in a Dual Format Edition (DVD and Blu-ray discs) by the BFI in spring 2014.

Good news.

NOSFERATU is my 2nd favorite film by Werner Herzog, so this is an item I look forward to.

Always found this film to be much underrated, stylish, haunting and morbidly enchanting. Klaus looks great as the title creature.

luckily it was Murnau's skull, not Herzog's. Otherwise, I'd say it was par for the course. wink
