I was always a big Don Knotts fan from his days as Barney Fife on THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW. I remember seeing THE GHOST AND MR. CHICKEN as a kid and loving it, and being so scared by that Organ Theme. It really was frightening to me that the Ghost was in the Organ loft playing that spooky scary theme.

I always loved the main theme from THE RELUCTANT ASTRONAUT-67, so catchy and jolly, could hum it all day. In New York in the old days [70's] channel 9 [wor-tv] showed this movie dozens of times. I loved the film. Don Knotts was funny as hell here. But like a good JOHN HUGHES film it was not just funny but a film that touched your soul. When the father of Don Knotts played by [Arthur o Connell] finds out that his son was not a astronaut and a hero but just a janitor that scene I think really hit the emotional chords. Because many fathers always wished their sons could be more then they were. but he finds out his son is a loser like he was, that hurts.
