I love this movie.

However, as something of a student of Alcatraz myself (ever since I went there in 2011 I have been fascinated by the place and have devoured just about every book I can get my hands on) I can say with some confidence that Lancaster's sensitive portrayal was almost nothing like the real Robert Stroud at all.
