No 29-INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS-56- Classic in the genre. Although the remakes were well made. This one tops them all. Film has a unforgettable vibe to it.

I started a few days early, in September, since I won't be able to watch a movie every night in October. I decided to kick off the season with a Nigel Kneale-athon -- old school sci-fi horror. The four Quatermass films -- the first, the first Hammer Horror flick, not actually written by Kneale but based on his TV programme, the second, more '50s Hammer Horror but this one written by Kneale, the third, one of Hammer's best, and the fourth, a TV miniseries from 1979. Then, the under-appreciated The Stone Tape and the '89 The Woman in Black. After I've done with that lot, I may go back to some pre-code horror, or I may check out some newer stuff I've managed never to see. Haven't decided yet!

NO 27-THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN-57- A genre classic with one of the most emotional endings in film history, with a line that has always been one of my favorites. TO GOD THERE IS NO ZERO-.
