Apparently there will be a live performance of some of John Carpenter's score and other works by Alan Howarth to promote the new CD. For me the original is the tightest and best of Carpenter's films, even above HALLOWEEN and THE THING.
I seem to remember that the Buy Soundtrax release from a year or so ago was a re-recording of the film's score. Is this new release from Death Waltz a re-recording or is it the original soundtrack recording?
