To answer the question (rather than wee digs at OP)...

No Dan, it's not necessarily rudeness. Most times it's just a case of a person not having anything of note to contribute. No other motive at all.

Rock on.

I like Mr. Greg's "...often it will be because the person hasn't seen the question...not everyone reads every thread every day." Many of us have replied to a number of threads, and if we're away for a few days, we may not go back to check out ALL of them to see if anyone has posted something that applies to us. And even if we DO go back, there may have been enough responses that it has gone to another page, so if we DO go back to the last page, we may be unaware that someone has asked us a question on the previous page. So it could all be quite innocent and have nothing at all to do with one person being rude to another.

It's my default position if I don't get an answer...that's just the way it is....I posted a new thread a while back asking a question of the soundtrack labels represented here and didn't get a single answer....gutted, as I was interested very much in the answer, but it's perfectly ridiculous (and petulant in the extreme) to automatically decide that it's because they were being rude....they are busy folks, that's the way the world turns...or maybe they just didn't want to answer...or could be any number of other reasons...

Mr. Greg: Yes, any number of reasons, and the LEAST likely is that they were being intentionally rude!!!!!

When I was in the fifth grade, I purchased my one and only issue of FANGORIA magazine.

A question for dan the man: What was your role in the production of this issue or any issue of FANGORIA during your time with the magazine?

Brilliant, Mr. Greg.

My whole family was laughing our arses off at that clip. His facial expressions are hilarious.

Over the years I was thinking how many times one simply asked a question around here and one often don't get a response. I personally have always tried to answer a question if it was reasonable from a board member. It is a shame how inconsiderate people can be on this subject.

???

Looks like "dan" has some "steely" resolve when it comes to not answering questions. "Par for the course", indeed.
