Neil Hefti composed this rag for the film WON TON TON: THE DOG WHO SAVED HOLLYWOOD a 1976 bomb helmed by the King of Comedy, DEATH WISH director Michael Winner.

The film starred Bruce Dern, Madeline Kahn, Teri Garr and every classic comedian alive including Henny Youngman, Shecky Greene, Billy Barty, Phil Silvers, Fritz Feld, Edgar Bergen, Milton Berle, Jack Carter and the Ritz Brothers.

Pianist Mike Farrell is handed the music and performs seeing it for the first time as part of this experiment in improv of obscure movie sheet music.

Pretty amazing that he's able to sight-read and play like that, even playing one-handed while turning the page without skipping a beat!

Quite a challenge! And it looks like your pianist is enjoying discovering this music for the first time. And I came back to enjoy it a second time!
